Prints

For those of you who have given my Limited Edition Giclee prints a new home, I want to give you a little info on what goes into them:

To make my paintings reproducible as prints I photograph them.  Once a painting is photographed I then edit the file meticulously so that the colors and contrast match the original artwork.

These image files are then sent to my fine art publisher where they are printed and cut from large rolls of 100% cotton watercolor rag paper.

Each print is finished with a white mat, then hand number and signed.

Only 100 prints are made of artworks made from 2014-2015, & only 50 prints made of artworks made after 2016.  The number you have is the only one out there in the world.  There is a small, medium & large option for each painting.

Keep in mind Giclee's are printed with archival pigment inks which have excellent longevity and light fastness, staying bright and sharp for as many as 100 years, however it's best to hang them out of direct sunlight and away from sources of water such as a shower, indoor hot tub, etc.

Your print will fit frames of the following sizes:

8x10" print   - 11x14" frame
11x14" print - 16x20" frame

16x20" print - 20x24" frame
27x40" print - 27x40" frame

I make all of my prints in standard sizes so that framing your print is easy & you don't have to opt for custom framing.

Lastly I would like to personally thank you for your support. Each print or original artwork that you buy translates into more artwork I can make in the future. Your support is the backbone of my creativity and you are now officially a member the DEFECTIVEBARBIE family.

I work hard to maintain a sustainable & responsible business, sourcing products locally or within the US.  All materials- prints, mats, bags, frames, even shipping materials are chosen in an effort to support local business & use as much recyclable & archival material as possible.
